Jennifer and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary with a two week vacation to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. We arrived on Christmas Day of 2002 and stayed until January 6, 2003. I won't be able to show you how great our vacation was on this web page, but I will try to share some of the highlights. |

Eeyore became the newest member of our family. Here we are in MGM Studios shortly after we got him. |
To satisfy the same funny friend's sense of humor, one of us had to do something exciting like skydiving, bungee jumping or riding the Dumbo Ride! Here's Jennifer living the dream! Also, as a joke, we bought a toy working model of the Dumbo Ride and gave it to our friend with cut-out pictures of us to put inside. The picture of us at the top of this page is one of the figures we used. Feel free to cut it out and make it into a magnet for your refrigerator! |
A lot of the really exciting rides will take your picture at the moment the biggest thrill occurs. One such ride was the Rockin' Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith - it was awesome! They take you into a recording studio where Aerosmith is recording, or at least it looks like it. You are actually watching a clever video of them. Anyway, they tell you that you've got backstage passes to the show across town and you have to get there quick, then they put you on the roller coaster. The cars look like old convertible Cadillacs. At the beginning, you go from a dead standstill to top speed instantly! That's where they take your picture. Then you immediately go through an upside-down loop and through an upside-down corkscrew, all of this in the dark, with highway signs passing you. In your headrest they pump Aerosmith music the whole time. It was my favorite roller coaster! |
