|These are two of my roommates, Inigo (male) and India (female). They are Columbian Boas and are about seven years old. I've raised them since they were a month old. Inigo is now seven and a half feet long, while India is about six and a half feet. Notice the difference in color; they were the same color when they were babies.|
||Here are Scott and Stacey with Inigo a couple of years ago to give you a better idea of his size. In the background you can see part of the habitat I designed and built for the snakes.|
||Stacey thinks Inigo makes a smashing fashion statement.|
|This picture was taken in the Summer of 98 I think. They have since outgrown the hollow log.|
||This is my newest roommate, Cocoa. He is a Mexican Rosy Boa from the San Ignacio region of Mexico, and he is about two and a half years old. Measuring only about twenty inches, he will be no more than two to three feet in length when fully grown. In this picture, the area of his body to the right represents his actual coloring, while the left part got washed out by the lighting. By looking at a Rosy Boa's coloring and markings, some herptologists can determine its geographic origin, sometimes down to the nearest canyon! |
Here is a picture to give you a better idea of Cocoa's size.
